NOTICE

On May 30, 2018, EDUCAUSE will be upgrading its .edu domain website and technology platform with a new look and feel. These upgrades will also provide you with many new features to improve your experience and security with your .edu domain management.

The system upgrade will begin at 10:00 a.m. (PT) on May 30, 2018, and will last for approximately 24 hours. During this period, you will be unable to access your account. Your website will be unaffected by this change. Once the upgrade is complete, you will have access to a new and more secure domain management portal.

After the upgrade is complete, all domain holders will be asked to reset their domain password the next time they log in to their domain account.

If you have any emergency needs while your account is inaccessible, please email us at edu@educause.edu and our staff will be happy to help.

.EDU Administration

EDUCAUSE, the association for information technology in higher education, is the sole registrar for names in the .edu domain. The Department of Commerce awarded management of the domain to EDUCAUSE in October 2001. Requests for new names in the domain are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for eligible institutions, and holders of .edu domain names must use this website to manage their domains and hosts. EDUCAUSE also is the exclusive provider of contact information for the .edu domain, available on the whois server.
