Balancing Acts: Making IT Work for Everyone

Whether your focus is administrative services, information resources, teaching and learning, technology infrastructure, or management, you can benefit from attending the Ninth Annual EDUCAUSE Southwest Regional Conference, February 24 -26, 2009. Join us at the Marriott Plaza San Antonio to:

  • Hear from innovators and forward thinkers about current and emerging best practices in higher education information services
  • Connect with others in positions similar to yours to exchange experiences and explore ways to tackle common challenges
  • Learn about what's going on in the profession and at the institutions in your area

This year's conference, "Balancing Acts: Making IT Work for Everyone," will examine solutions and strategies for meeting the broad range of technology needs that define the higher education experience. The increasing importance of demonstrating IT's value and the ubiquitous nature of technology as a resource require IT professionals to juggle many different perspectives. This conference will offer colleagues the opportunity to share insights on what works and how to prepare for the next big thing coming our way.

Preconference seminars begin the morning of February 24, with the full conference program February 24 - 26, 2009. The program follows four key tracks:

  • Act 1: Balancing the IT Role in the Enterprise
  • Act 2: Balancing Innovation and Operations
  • Act 3: Balancing Learning 2.x
  • Corporate and Campus Solutions

From major theme parks to historic sights to the tranquil River Walk San Antonio proves to be many destinations in one!
