Seminars on Academic Computing (SAC) 2005

August 5–10, 2005
Snowmass Village, Colorado

Executive Leadership Seminar - August 5–7

At this year's Executive Leadership Seminar, join senior IT leaders, academic executives, library directors, presidents, and others to focus on ways that leadership of the IT unit can provide leadership across the institution—strategically positioning IT on campus in such a way that it is recognized and resourced to enable critical institutional goals regarding teaching, learning, research, and service.

New Directors Leadership Seminar - August 6–7

The New Directors Leadership Seminar introduces new campus IT leaders to valuable strategies and resources for self-discovery and institutional awareness that will enhance the effectiveness of their leadership. Plenary discussions are combined with small, interactive sessions to create ample opportunities for learning and relationship building.

Directors Leadership Seminar - August 7–10

At this main SAC event, meet with other campus leaders to address issues relating to the maturing of the CIO position within higher education, the strategic positioning of IT within the campus infrastructure and operations, and the integration of instructional technology into sophisticated e-learning environments.

2006 Conference and Volunteer Opportunities

Mark your calendars now for the 2006 Seminars on Academic Computing meeting to be held August 4–9, 2006 in Snowmass Village, Colorado.

Get involved behind the scenes at next year's conference to help contribute to its success and expand yourself professionally. You can help plan the conference program by serving on the program committee . E-mail volunteer@educause.edu for more information. Yet another way to participate is to serve as a session convener, being on hand at a particular session to introduce the speaker and make sure the session runs smoothly; the 2006 conference Web site will have more information about this opportunity.
