Mark Sheehan is a Fellow with the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research. Prior to joining ECAR in July 2006, Sheehan worked at Montana State University as director of the Information Technology Center (1996–2000) and as executive director for information services (2000–2006). He has contributed frequently to CAUSE and EDUCAUSE conferences and publications in the past 15 years, was a member of the EDUCAUSE Current Issues Committee from 1995 to 1998, and was a member of the EDUCAUSE Institute Leadership Program faculty from 2003 to 2006. Sheehan earned his PhD at Indiana University, where in 1982 he began his career in information technology.
