GETTING PAST INFRASTRUCTURE TO FACULTY UTILIZATION ISSUES CAUSE94 Current Issues Session Thursday, December 1, 1994, 4:30 to 6:00 pm Walt Disney World Dolphin, Oceanic Room 3 Moderators: Suzanne Holler, University of Central Florida Phyllis Ruscella, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Scott Siddall, Kenyon College Many campuses have spent the last five years ensuring that the "necessary" network infrastructurewas being built. But necessary for what? It's time to turn our attention to the kind of support our campus communities need to fully use the infrastructure we've built to meet the institution's mission and goals. As information technologists and librarians we can play an important role in promoting use of the network, providing technical support to faculty as they discover the potential of the net to enhance teaching and learning, and training faculty and students to get the most out of electronic mail and networked information resources. Please bring your ideas and experiences to this discussion. CITH430GETTING.TXT revised 10/24/94 cv
