Enterprise 2007—The EDUCAUSE Enterprise Technology Conference

Join us for Enterprise 2007, May 23–24 in Chicago, a conference focused on current and future leaders and managers of information technologies in support of the higher education enterprise. Make contacts with peers, engage in energizing discussion, and discover new strategies and solutions at this event. Last year’s inaugural conference received excellent reviews.

The conference will take a broad, enterprise-wide look at the current issues and challenges facing institutions today—with a focus on the interests of leaders and managers of enterprise and administrative information technology groups within IT, business, or academic units at colleges and universities.

Who Should Attend

Those who currently lead and manage administrative and enterprise technology groups within IT, business, or academic units at colleges and universities, as well as those who are emerging leaders in the field, will benefit from this event. Enterprise 2007 will provide a venue for networking with peers and opportunities to build connections with colleagues.

Topics to Be Addressed

Participants will choose from several interactive, solutions-oriented sessions in each of the topic areas. They’ll also hear plenary sessions from some of higher education’s thought leaders in the area of enterprise computing. Ample time has been allocated to each session for both presentation and interaction.

  • Top higher education challenges where IT can make a difference:What can IT do to help? Hear how campus IT leadership is handling assessment and accreditation challenges, faculty recruitment and retention, and cutting costs by working to commoditize core services.
  • Running the organization: How do we run the business of the university and simultaneously manage not only the leading edge but also the trailing edge? Learn more about developing our future leaders, IT frameworks, managing vendor relations, and more.
  • Enterprise security/disaster recovery and business continuity: How does IT leadership ensure that the infrastructure supporting the enterprise is robust? This topic area will include discussions about identity management, enterprise security, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
  • Centralized services/project management/change management: How does IT ensure we are focusing on the effective and efficient management of central services, projects, and overall change? This topic area will include discussions about storage-handling practices, IT facilities management, project management, and project governance.
