Poster Sessions

These sessions are informal and allow conferees to share campus experiences with colleagues on a one-to-one basis. Presenters convey information in a number of different ways. For instance, they:

  • Post signs, graphs, and posters on the provided bulletin boards
    Example
  • Use personal laptops—see the A/V request form below to request an Internet connection
    Example 1 | Example 2 | Example 3
  • Use personal projectors, screens, and laptop systems
    Example
  • Distribute handouts

Floor Plan and Set

  • Poster sessions will be held in Hall A. The floor plan, as well as your table number and location, will be posted by mid-September.
  • Each poster session will be provided a 6' skirted table in front of a 4' x 8' bulletin board—view a picture of the setup.

Forms

  • Audio/Visual (A/V) Request Form
This form is to be completed and submitted by the lead presenter after reaching consensus with all speakers in the session. When requesting the form, be sure to select "Poster Sessions" from the session type options.
The deadline to fill out this form has passed; please write to Victoria Fanning at vfanning@educause.edu if you need electricity or a dedicated Ethernet line. (Note: Wireless 802.11b access will be available for all presenters. The connection speed will be sufficient for accessing and navigating Web and/or e-mail pages. The SSID for access will be EDUCAUSEAIR. We do not need to know if you plan to use wireless.)
  • Biographical Information Form
This biographical information will be linked to your name on our Web conference program. When you provide your e-mail address to begin this process, you will have an opportunity to review the bio we already have (if applicable), and either accept it or modify it. Please be sure to fill out all fields, and use a narrative paragraph form rather than a list of bullets or resume form.
