Media and Press RoomMedia CredentialsRepresentatives of print and electronic media focusing on information technology and higher education with plans to cover the EDUCAUSE 2004 Annual Conference in their publications are welcome to request complimentary media credentials for registration. NOTE: Only TWO complimentary registrations per publication/organization will be allowed.
If you plan to request credentials, please contact: Please use the list of media representatives to find out who has registered for the conference. Press Room Usage and ScheduleUsage GuidelinesThe EDUCAUSE 2004 Press Room, Meeting Room #101, in the Colorado Convention Center, will be available for (1) display of exhibitor media/product kits, (2) exhibitors' scheduled news/product announcement events, and (3) media representatives' scheduled meetings with exhibitors. Each exhibitor wishing to display materials must provide its own supply, deliver it to the room, and arrange the materials on the perimeter tables so as not to interfere with other exhibitors' materials. Delivery and setup of materials in the Press Room are the full responsibility of the exhibiting corporation—EDUCAUSE will not be responsible for materials shipped to the convention center. EDUCAUSE staff will check the room periodically throughout exhibit days to insure neatness. Representatives of the media are welcome to visit the Press Room, take materials, schedule meetings with exhibitors, and attend presentations scheduled by exhibitors (but not those meetings scheduled by other media representatives), a schedule of which will be posted outside the room. Please use the list of media representatives to find out who has registered for the conference. The Press Room will have a blend of theater seating and round tables, with a total seating capacity of approximately 40. There will be a speaker lectern and a screen in front. In addition, there will be draped tables around the room for materials display. No Internet/telephone connectivity or projection technology will be provided. No food or beverages may be brought to or catered in the Press Room; water pitchers and glasses will be provided. Events may be scheduled for one- or ½-hour periods when the room is open (see the schedule table below). Event requests must be e-mailed no later than 48 hours prior to the event to Peter DeBlois, EDUCAUSE director of Communication Services at pdeblois@educause.edu. The master schedule of events will be posted outside the Press Room each exhibit day. Press Room (Meeting Room #101) Schedule(Blocks without organization names may be scheduled for one- or ½-hour events.)
