Who Should AttendThe program is designed for individuals who work in instructional design or related fields and have significant experience in such areas as enhanced classroom delivery, hybrid and blended learning, and online educational systems. This program is not designed for entry level individuals. About the Instructional Technology Leadership ProgramThe Instructional Technology Leadership Program will be held July 1014, 2005 at The Pennsylvania State University in University Park. It will offer a unique opportunity to connect with peers in a program led by seasoned and knowledgeable national leaders in the field. Collectively, you will focus on effective approaches to meeting both ongoing and future challenges in providing exemplary services and forward-thinking leadership for one of the most critical elements of higher education: teaching and learning. Making the CaseParticipants will be organized into teams of five working throughout the institute to develop a “Making the Case” project (the teams will define the form of their project). The “Making the Case” project should advance the use of educational technology and pedagogy by addressing the current state of the field, the desired state of the field, and suggest a path to the desired state. Each participant will leave with a document that represents a broad range of thinking about topics and how to apply to own institution. Innovation ShowcaseParticipants will be invited to demonstrate a specific innovation in technology/pedagogy according to a pre-established set of guidelines. |
