Abstract

Berkeley's Educational Technology Services has implemented an ongoing strategic planning process in which the mission and defined strategy flow into all aspects of the operation. A yearly cycle guides units and individual staff in planning their goals. The mission and strategy provide the basis for decisions about resource allocation and approval of initiatives. The process has effectively involved faculty, students, and key campus partners in keeping the organization clearly focused on bringing value to the campus community.
