Abstract

Web 2.0 is both wonderful and daunting in higher education. It opens doors, creating classroom flexibility that was once only an educator's dreams. It can also be discouraging, pulling educators and students in different and sometimes conflicting directions. The challenge becomes how to effectively utilize the strengths of the technology while remaining cognizant that it is just a tool and platform for the ultimate goal of learning. This session will provide a platform for real-world solutions as well as open a theoretical dialogue on where we are and where we are going in the brave new world of Web 2.0 and education.
