Abstract

Recent developments in digital-audio and screen-recording software hold great promise not only for reducing the time it takes to provide commentary on student work but also for increasing the quality of comments. Voice-enabled commentary, through multiple media, extends the fixed-text model to include voice, graphics, and animation, and it may be more effective than more traditional approaches.
