Abstract

To balance the growing demand for services from IT with stable or shrinking sets of resources, Rice University has employed virtualization and automation. This presentation will focus on areas of quick successes for virtualization and automation in meeting user needs, the lessons learned, the value-added to the services, and the plans for broadening the impact of these technologies.
