Building Digital Discourse: Telling Stories at the UniversitySession DetailsWednesday, February 25, 2009 2:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Hidalgo Ballroom C Session Type: Act 3: Balancing Learning 2.x Speaker(s)
AbstractOver the past year, a project at Tulane University has incorporated aspects of the digital storytelling process into the university curriculum. We quickly learned that digital storytelling as presented by the Center for Digital Storytelling would not be useful in all instances, but that the same process could be employed with great success in fields that may not require a personal narrative. We have developed the Digital Discourse program that not only preserves the storytelling process but also helps develop it into forms applicable across disciplines and tailored to the requests of individual faculty members.
