Abstract

Electronic Research Administration (eRA) is the use of technology solutions to manage protocols, grants, conflict of interest, and other required regulatory work for research. Moving these processes from paper to electronic solutions requires clear project goals and insight into the business processes within the departments that support essential regulatory and compliance tasks. This presentation will explore key issues encountered during the selection and implementation of multiple technology solutions focused on improving the transparency and access to research administration processes at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio.
