Effective Incident Response Teams: Two Case StudiesSession DetailsTuesday, April 05, 2005 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Imperial Room I (lower level) Session Type: Policy, Law, and Incident Response Speaker(s)
AbstractSecurity incidents can have serious ramifications for an institution's reputation. The establishment of formal security incident response teams is considered “best practice” for handling complex situations. Offering perspectives from a medium-sized and a large university, this presentation will describe why the conventional wisdom for setting up such teams isn't always effective in a higher education environment. It will also explain the alternative incident response models developed at Boston College and the University of Oklahoma. Available Resources |
