Preconference Survey

Our goal is to make the ELI Annual Meeting as useful as possible. With your input, we can better align the meeting activities with your interests and needs. Information on this survey, along with the URL, is included at the end of the registration form and in your attendee confirmation e-mail.

Attend as a Team

Sending a team to the ELI Annual Meeting can be particularly valuable. Some institutions send a team to focus on an upcoming project; others use meeting attendance to reward and motivate innovators. Team participation in the ELI Annual Meeting is often used to build cross-disciplinary collaboration. The annual meeting offers team members an opportunity to share a common experience and reflect on the implications for their own campus. Participants find that the travel to and from the meeting, on-site discussions, and on-campus follow-up builds rapport, solidifies plans, and enriches collaboration. We encourage you to attend as a member of a team.

Research Release

ELI is working with researchers from North Carolina State University (NCSU) to explore collaborative knowledge creation from events like our annual meeting. As part of this effort, an NCSU research team may ask participants to share thoughts about their learning experiences at the conference. This may involve the collection of written comments as well as observation and/or facilitation of activities by the research team. If successful, the new approaches to collaborative knowledge creation piloted at this event could help ELI greatly improve the learning value of its events for both participants and the general ELI community.

We hope you are as excited by this opportunity as we are. Rest assured that the team will not collect or disseminate personally identifiable information and that this research activity will not require any additional work by participants. Please note, however, that you are consenting to the data collection involved in this annual meeting by registering for it.

Image/Video/Audio Release Form

A key strength of ELI is the collaboration that takes place at ELI meetings. Images, video, and audio clips, when used in ELI and EDUCAUSE educational and promotional materials, help convey this dynamic interaction and encourage participation. By registering for this meeting, you are agreeing to the terms of the EDUCAUSE Image/Video/Audio Release Form [56 KB PDF] so that images/video/audio recorded there may be used for promotional purposes. If you have questions, please contact eli@educause.edu.

Payment and Cancellation Policies

Payment for the full amount of the registration fee must be made by the first day of the conference.

You may pay by credit card or supply a purchase order number along with a credit card to guarantee payment. A purchase order number does not constitute payment and all outstanding purchase orders must be satisfied either by check or credit card. A credit card used as a guarantee will not be charged without prior notification and will be charged only if no other means of payment is received.

Cancellations postmarked on or before December 22, 2006, are entitled to a full refund. There will be no refunds after this date. If you cancel after December 22, 2006, and have not paid by another means, your credit card will be charged the cost of the registration.
