ProgramThis year's conference, "Safeguarding Our IT Assets, Protecting Our Community's Privacy," will focus on privacy and security topics that cut across the information assurance measures of people, process, and technology. Our past focus on reducing institutional risk by protecting IT assets has expanded to include the pressing issues of protecting the privacy of institutional information and that of institution's stakeholders (e.g., alumni, donors, and guests). The Security Professionals Conference provides an excellent forum for members of the community to exchange information and receive additional training or professional development to help improve IT security and effectively address privacy issues at their home institutions. The EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Computer and Network Security Task Force (STF), the sponsors of the annual Security Professional Conference, provides a focal point for the academic community to join together in venues like the conference to strengthen the ability of the higher education sector to respond to growing threats to information security and to protect the privacy of our community members. The goals and strategies of the STF are intended to help direct assistance from and to the community in ways that are both cost-effective and timely. The STF welcomes your participation at this year's conference. AgendaThe conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22. Preconference and postconference seminars will be offered on Monday, April 20, and Wednesday, April 22. These intensive, in-depth, highly interactive sessions will provide attendees with a chance to explore key issues, tools, and subjects in great detail. (Please note: A separate registration and fee are required.) You can view the full conference agenda or follow the links below for schedule information for specific dates. The best way to plan your conference schedule is to use our Itinerary Builder, which allows you to chart, save, update, download, and print your conference schedule before you head to Atlanta.
Also available is a complete listing of speakers, and links to their sessions. We invite speakers to upload session materials at any time. View a list of sessions with available resources. Track Sessions
