Campus Cyberinfrastructure (CCI)

The mission of the Campus Cyberinfrastructure (CCI) working group is to help educational institutions develop institutional strategies and plan their resource deployment in this emerging and evolving technological landscape and to help their users harness and optimize the power and capabilities of these new integrated IT tools and systems for educational and research applications in higher education. Come share your ideas, learn about various networking community CI projects, and hear what the CCI working group is doing to address issues identified in the " Building the Campus Cyberinfrastructure Roadmap" and how their efforts tie into the overall EDUCAUSE grand challenges cyberinfrastructure initiative.

Network Policy Council (NPC)
Sunday, February 1, 9:00 a.m.4:00 p.m.
The Network Policy Council will hold an open meeting to review federal policy and networking issues of interest to the community including the quest for a National Broadband Strategy. This session will discuss the valuable role of the higher education technology community as activists and the impact coordinated efforts can have on potential legislation and regulations.

The StateNets working group provides a forum for managers and executives in state education and research networks and their higher education partners to learn from each other how to better serve their customers and to deal more effectively with their policy and technical challenges. StateNets participants will learn how the "Centers of Excellence" initiatives are progressing and help define new, relevant projects.
