Topics covered will include vulnerability assessment versus attack-and-penetration testing. We will discuss the two methods for determining risks and how they differ. In addition, we will address design issues of intrusion-detection systems, with some of the pros and cons of using managed services. We will talk about where the industry is headed and solicit questions, "war stories" and real-life experiences from the attendees.

This seminar will present a high-level overview of the data warehousing process, including identifying users, determining questions to be answered, building and accessing the warehouse, and examining the benefits of a warehouse. Examples and lessons learned from Baylor's data warehouse will be used to illustrate key points.
