Implementing and Assessing Studio Physics at MITSession DetailsMonday, January 24, 2005 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Acadian II Room Session Type: Experience It Session Speaker(s)
AbstractTechnology Enabled Active Learning (TEAL) is a new, highly collaborative format for freshman physics education at MIT designed to greatly improve student achievement. This course transformation yielded substantial increases in student understanding and decreases in failure rates. We will do a "mini-class" in the TEAL format in this session. We will also discuss the assessment of this pedagogy and the difficulties encountered in its implementation.
