Abstract

PDA Participatory Simulations use handheld computers (Palm OS) to embed participants inside complex systems, from ecology to economics to networks. These games, which use peer-to-peer beaming, are based on the idea that students (elementary through graduate school) learn well when they are highly involved in what they are learning about.
