Abstract

The 2005 Horizon Report, a joint publication of the NMC and the NLII, is the result of a yearlong collaboration between these two organizations designed to surface promising new avenues in the applications of technology to teaching, learning, and creative expression in higher education. Using interviews and secondary research to inform discussion and dialogue, the project staff worked with an advisory board to identify promising technologies over three time-to-adoption horizons—one year, two to three years, and four to five years. The 2005 Horizon Report is being officially released at this session, and each attendee will receive a copy.
