Abstract

This session provides an opportunity to reflect on three expert contemporary but sharply diverging views of the future our technology may bring forth: technological utopia (Kurzweil's singularity), globalization (Friedman's flat world), and constraint/collapse (Heinberg's peak oil scenario).
