AbstractThe Open Library Environment (OLE) Project plans to begin development in January 2010 with continued support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. In approximately 30 months' time, OLE will allow libraries to discontinue their current integrated-library systems and several ancillary systems necessary to manage scholarly information and continue their business functions through OLE or through the enterprise integration of OLE with Identity management, ERP systems, learning management systems, and other campus and cloud technologies. |
