Influencing Decisions: Strategies for Using DataSession DetailsWednesday, July 22, 2009 1:00 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. Adirondack Ballroom A&B Speaker(s)
AbstractUsing data to lead others toward a course of action requires a good understanding of how the decision makers incorporate information into their thinking as well as a convincing story to map the data into action. Executing this process requires carefully planned collection and analysis of data and skillful communication, and the end result must be concise and easily understood to be effective. This session will provide a framework for presenting data, a case study of a presentation to campus senior officers, and a hands-on exercise in data collection and analysis. |
