Israel is the President of Collin County Community College, and, under his leadership, CCCC has won numerous awards on its way to becoming a nationally recognized institution of higher education. CCCC was the first community college in Texas to receive approval for its teacher certification program, and has signed dual-admission agreements with the University of North Texas, the University of Texas at Dallas, and Southern Methodist University—the first such agreements in the state. Moody’s Investor Service recognized CCCC for its “well-maintained financial operations,” and the institution is designated as a Microsoft Academy Center, Oracle Workforce Development Center, CIW Security Center, and one of six National Cisco CCNP Academy Training Centers. Graham Chapman, Project Manager, University of Texas at Austin Kim Grover-Haskin, Director, Instructional Operations, Texas Woman's University Diane G. Saphire, Associate VP for Information Resources, Trinity University Representatives from Texas Woman's College, Trinity University, and the University of Texas at Austin will discuss their portal implementations, including challenges faced, the benefits reaped, and future directions for portals at their institutions.
