Abstract

Few terms are bandied about these days as much as Web 2.0, but what is it, really? Is there more to it than Facebook and file sharing? And is it really just a NetGen thing? Web 2.0 has transformed the practices of teaching and learning. What are the implications of that transformation for the rest of the institution, as Web 2.0 traverses the bell-shaped curve of diffusion? In this session we will seek to understand the fundamental characteristics of Web 2.0 and how it is emerging in the daily practice of teaching and learning, and we will collectively explore the implications of that transformation for enterprise information systems and services.
