Abstract

The use of virtual worlds affords students and educators the ability to break free from the confines of traditional classrooms and online learning spaces. Pioneers of this emerging technology will discuss the creation of the New Media Consortium virtual campus as well as present case studies that will illustrate successes and challenges in this new learning frontier.
