Collaborative ToolsSession DetailsMonday, January 22, 2007 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Prefunction Lobby 1 Session Type: Informal Learning Space Demonstration Speaker(s)
AbstractLearning can occur in informal, as well as formal, spaces. Herman Miller, Apple Computer, and ELI members will demonstrate informal learning spaces and technology at the meeting to give you hands-on experience of their value. When they are not being used for demonstrations, you can use the spaces for your own impromptu gatherings and informal learning. Some of your best learning may take place in the hallway! Join us to prove that any place can be a learning space. Seating in each of the three demonstration spaces will be limited to 6-8 people depending on the space format. Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis. In this demonstration, Carl Berger will help participants explore the use of collaborative content creation software: Informal learning spaces often encourage informal learning activities. In this hands-on session we'll explore group collaborative creation software that allows instructors and students to collaborate in real time and enhance the symbiosis between computer and face-to-face interaction! This session will be presented again from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. |
