AbstractA theater may be ideal for lecturing but weak for seminar discussion. Every learning space makes certain teaching and learning activities easier and others harder. Using examples that you suggest, we will show how to use program purpose and results from learning research to identify key teaching and learning activities. These and other design principles can then be used to evaluate existing facilities, improve their support, and plan pioneering learning spaces.
