Abstract

This seminar will provide an overview of the past, present, and future for wireless communications, with an emphasis on wireless data networks and the relative advantages and disadvantages compared to their wired cousins. As a case study, we will review Wireless Andrew, the high-speed wireless infrastructure installed at Carnegie Mellon University.
