Who Should Attend? The Directors Leadership Seminar may interest those at multiple levels of leadership and decision making at institutions of higher education, including directors and managers of computing, information, and communication services; executives; provosts; librarians; and faculty. ApproachThe Directors Leadership Seminar is the main program at SAC, offering leaders in higher education information technology an intimate setting for reflecting on and discussing the impacts and challenges of campus IT. This year's seminar, "Thriving Amidst Rapid and Relentless Transformation," highlights the issues facing higher education, offers ideas to meet today's challenges, and provides strategies to position IT for tomorrow's realities. Participants will learn about the latest developments in this vital area of higher education and discuss them with innovators. Seasoned leaders will share how they've explored opportunities and developed strategies to improve the quality of IT services offered at their institutions. Ample opportunities will exist for dialogue with others who are navigating the tricky but rewarding aspects of IT in higher education, including a series of organized discussion sessions and birds-of-a-feather sessions each afternoon, as well as open times for one-on-one discussion and networking.
