Call for Preconference Seminar Proposals

EDUCAUSE is accepting proposals for preconference seminars, to be held on Tuesday, October 28, at EDUCAUSE 2008, in Orlando, Florida. Preconference seminars are half- or full-day seminars for which attendees pay an additional fee to attend. They are in-depth discussions of a single topic or a group of related topics. For examples of previous preconference seminars, visit the EDUCAUSE 2007 preconference seminar page.

An honorarium of $1,000 for half-day seminars and $1,500 for full-day seminars will be awarded upon presentation of the seminar. (This honorarium is PER SEMINAR, not per speaker.) In addition to the honorarium, each seminar speaker (maximum of two per half-day seminar and four per full-day seminar) will be provided with a full complimentary registration to the annual conference. Half-day seminars take place either in the morning (8:30 a.m.–12:00 noon) or the afternoon (1:00–4:30 p.m.). Full-day seminars are held from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. with an hour lunch break.

EDUCAUSE reserves the right to set maximum and minimum attendance. Maximum attendance is typically set at 60.

Preconference seminar proposals from corporations or including corporate presenters will not be accepted for review.
